Key Skills / Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial)
- Master of Engineering would be an advantage
- SA institute for Industrial Engineering – advantageous
- Engineering Council of SA – advantageous
- This role usually requires 0- 2 years generic experience applicable to the specific discipline

The responsibilities are:
Project co-ordination
- Execute projects to achieve the agreed technical objectives within the agreed timeframes, and specifications.
- Identification of project risks and resolve if practical or escalate as required.
- Utilize project management best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
- Manage change management throughout the project.
Business Analysis
- Defining business needs/ requirements.
- Translation of the requirements into the technical specifications.
- Liaison between project sponsor and technical team.
- Understanding of system functions to identify potential solutions design.
Business Process Reengineering
- Defining of business processes (SOP’s and diagrams).
- Analysis and redesign/ optimise business processes.
- Implementation of business optimisation changes.
- Automation of processes.
Data Engineering
- Defining processes and systems for the capturing, storage, integration and movement of data.
- Oversee the data lifecycle from capturing, ETL process, data-warehousing, data preparation for analytical and machine learning purposes.
Data Science
- Take a scientific approach using mathematical and statistical methodologies to conduct analyses.
- Creation and deployment of machine learning algorithms.
- Oversee and manage the entire data science lifecycle including identification of requirements and translation into, and implementation of, data science models.
Business Intelligence
- Reporting and visualisation of data through dashboards and reports.
- Preparation of data for reporting.
- Providing of insights into data analysed.
Research and Innovation
- Researching innovative technologies and solutions to solve problems and improve the business.
The successful candidate will start on 06 January 2025.
